Until Next Time

Spent the afternoon with my friend Hana who is headed off to college this week. Had one last little get together before her big move.
We grabbed some coffee & tea at one of my favorite coffee shops, then went to an antique shop (also my favorite) and some boutiques. And of course we wouldn't be us if we didn't have an impromptu photoshoot in the parking lot. I'll miss you girly! Be sure to come back and visit soon!

Cast Party Attire

Saturday night concluded our summer long process of Singin' In The Rain. It was a great run & I'm happy I got to experience it and perform in a cast of very talented actors!
Yesterday we had our cast party and so we all got a little dressed up for it since that hasn't been something we've been able to do in quiet some time now! (costumes all evening means comfy clothes all day if possible!! haha)

I decided to take this really pretty cream lace dress from Forever21 and add a few of my boho touches to it. I paired my favorite beige fedora from Target, this floral cardigan/shawl from the Dressing Your Truth Store and my favorite heels! (One's I haven't worn in quiet some time)
When it comes to dressing up, or anytime really. I mostly opt for things that are comfy, and besides the shoes at the end of the night this outfit definitely kept is comfort! I think that would be my biggest tip for any event, is to think about if your outfit is still going to be comfortable 3-4 hours from now? I know for me if it's not, I'll switch up some of the pieces to make sure I can keep comfy.

A little run down on the siblings outfits as well...

Abby's wearing one of her favorite dresses from Mod Cloth along with some red heels from Shoe Carnival.

Austin dressed down the basic suit (one of my favorite looks) and paired a blue button up with a suede blazer, tie, jeans & Vans.

Princess Curls Hair Tutorial

I filmed a hair tutorial yesterday up on my YouTube channel, on how to achieve these super pretty Princess Curls (as I'm calling them) using my new 'Xtava 5-in-1 Satin Wave' curling iron. It was super easy to use & I'm really happy with how the curls turned out!
Since there are 4 other attachments for this curling iron, I will be doing more hair tutorials soon on how to get different looks all with only having to purchase one product!

Also for one of the best parts... You can head on over to Xtava's website and get 20% off your purchase if you use the coupon code XTASHLEY at checkout!

**this post was not sponsored. I was sent the curling iron curtesy of Xtava as part of the PreenMeVIP program, but am no way being paid for making this post!

8/11/16 - Recents

Hello lovelies! I actually can't remember the last time I did done of these, a recents post. Basically just sharing some of my favorite snapshots I've collected over the past month/months. Sometimes I'll be going through my camera roll on either my phone or computer and realize there are photos I took a while ago and while meaning to, never posted them! Usually either having something to do with flowers or ice cream, but what can you expect? Those are two of my favorite things! haha

1. Basking Robbin's finally made it's way here

2. Healthy eats & pretty flowers

3. Prettiest decor over at the barn

4. My morning's usually consist of blogging, planning & drinking coffee

5. My hair was straight for the first time in what seems months so I thought I'd document it

Singin' In The Rain

Our Broadway Melody costumes!

With Johnny who is playing Cosmo Brown.
I clearly did not receive the "Tall Sibling" memo.
With Brandon who is playing Don Lockwood.

Victoria (aka Amanda Williams)

The week before Recital this year I auditioned for a local production of Singin' in the Rain. This was my first time having been in a musical since I have lived here and after helping out here and there with my siblings musical that debuted in the spring I knew I wanted to get in on the show action.
Being a dancer/actor/singer what have you, living this crazy thing called life there isn't too much we are sure about sometimes besides the love of wanting to perform, and to show what all the long hard hours have gone into.
We only had about two months to really get into our characters and perfect the scenes before show time started with our (wait for it) 13 performances. It's been a lot of long and exhausting hours (and some, kind of scary injuries) but in the end we got to see all of our work play off into a really great show!
I've made a lot of friendships over this summer too & the amount of support we've received from the cast, crew & director while being the new kids to this theatre really means a lot to me!

We still have 5 shows left..... So let's go out there and 'Make Em' Laugh!'

1920's Hair & Makeup

Hello friends! I have a new tutorial uploaded on my channel about how I achieve a 1920's hair & makeup look for the Theatre show that I am currently in! The makeup look is a very smokey eye with smudged eyeliner (very 20's) and a bright red lip. The hair is a really pretty up-do some faux finger waves. I hope you enjoy the video & feel free to leave in the comments what hair/makeup looks you'd like to see from me in the future!
